I have never seen this play, so here's the synopsis from Samuel French:
"In this hilarious Christmas classic, a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant is faced with casting the Herdman kids--probably the most inventively awful kids in history. [In the book they swear, smoke cigars, are abusive, etc., but according to Samuel French there are no cautions for the play.] You won't believe the mayhem, and the fun, when the Herdmans collide with the Christmas story head on!" [I also understand the show is quite touching and redemptive.]
December 13, 14 and 15, Friday and Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m., Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. The shows are FREE (donations for the theater ministry are gladly accepted). Shows are at the First United Methodist Church, 401 E. 33rd Street, Vancouver, Wash.
Even though it's a short run, I plan to review the show just for fun (and no more rhyming, I mean it...).
