Dark Comedy, Buried Bodies in the Basement at Love Street Playhouse

Woodland's Love Street Playhouse presents the classic black comedy "Arsenic and Old Lace," directed by Melinda Leuthold, October 11-27.

When two old biddies take it upon themselves to put lonely old men out of their misery by poisoning them with arsenic in their homemade elderberry wine, craziness ensues and the laughter never ends. Their nephew, Mortimer (played by David Roberts), is reluctant to introduce his fiancee to his aunts.

Runs October 11-27, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., Sundays at 2 p.m., Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves St., Woodland, Wash. For tickets, $12-15, call 360.907.9996 or visit the website.

Our reviews, by BOTH Dennis Sparks and I (Greg), will appear here by noon Saturday, Oct. 12.
