Serendipity Players Presents the US Debut of Dezy Walls' "Not the Life I Ordered"

Serendipity Players is proud to present the United States premiere of Dezy Walls' “Not the Life I Ordered” from August 23-September 2, 2012 at Serendipity Playhouse, 500 Washington Street, Vancouver, Wash.

“Not the Life I Ordered” is the story of two brothers who couldn’t be more different. Both have some struggles and secrets, but the power of family and following your dreams prove stronger than they know.

Artistic Notes

According to artistic director Tony Broom, “This is a bit like a musical Irish Odd Couple, if that makes sense." He said, "This is our second time getting to work with the creator of a play and our first musical. We’re all pretty excited.”

What about having two different casts? “That was Dezy’s idea and I think it was a good one. You get a different perspective on the characters depending on which show you see.”

Opening night is August 23 at 7 p.m. The production run includes performances at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. on August 24, 25, 31, and September 1, with 7 p.m. only on August 23, 30 and September 2.

The September 2nd performance is "Pay As You Will" and will be followed by a "Conversation with the Playwright, Cast and Crew," which is free and open to the public. All performances take place at The Serendipity Playhouse, 500 Washington St, Vancouver, Wash.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased online at http://serendipityplayers.org or reservations can be made by calling 360-834-3588. Tickets are also available at the door, although reservations are strongly suggested as seating is limited. Doors open 30 minutes before the performance.
